Presidential Directive 51
The President has, right now, the ability in the case of a “National Emergency” (declared by him, entirely at his discretion) to take direct control of ALL branches of government. This would very literally make him, by definition, a dictator. Not only would congress loose all power, but they could be dismissed by the president, and all decisions would be made directly by the president, with no oversight and no checks on powers. There is not limit… no limit… to what the presidential powers would include.
A “National Emergency” could include a terrorist attack, a blackout, a hurricane or other natural disaster, or anything else the president says is a natural disaster, regardless of what state it occurs in, and would be enough for the president to take over the government.
This is a law. It is now on the books.
The president could decide to cancel elections, he could decide whatever he wants.

What the world would have been without Hitler and Stalin, these sick men of the humanity? Certainly, a different one! Better and more beautiful. But poorer. Poorer in evil. But without Bush, this another sick man of the world who in his ill crisis rips any law or makes another war? A world much poorer in evils! Who knows if these -genetical accidents- (Hitler, Stalin, Bush& other rulers) and their malfeasance will not finally wake up the humanity at its real senses, propeling it on the highest picks of civilization and progress…as the spirit fluorishes on the ruins of life…and this would be a happy act of life which triumphs on the scene of the world…

Namiste I agree with this is very scary…
A nat could fart in the wind and he could say oop’s a national emergency I now have to take total control of all of the government to ensure all Americans safety as he is the only one capable of keeping us all safe from harm…. Yeah right!!!
