Why won’t Ron Paul cosponsor impeachment? + Carol For Congress! (video)

It’s time to impeach our VP and Pres: http://www.wexlerwantshearings.com

Ron Paul claims to be a defender of the US Constitution. Like all other members of Congress, he has sworn to uphold and defend it against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC.

Why has he not signed on to the various bills for impeachment that have come before the House since 2004? If he is so concerned about the Constitution, why is he not following its mandate to impeach members of the Executive Branch who override the Constitutionally mandated separation of powers? Why will he not vote to impeach those who lie to Congress, issue signing statements that override laws passed by Congress, refuse to allow Congressional oversight, etc?

Ron Paul is capitalizing on the disaffection of Republicans for Bush and Cheney, who are leaders elected by GOP voters to hold the highest offices in the land. Yet Paul remains a loyal Republican, in the sense that he will not join the call to impeach Bush and Cheney for their obvious high crimes and misdemeanors.

Without impeachment, these criminals will go unpunished. Without impeachment, the precedents set by Bush and Cheney, that a “unitary executive” can override the Constitution, will stand, and will be used by future presidents to impose their will on the country.

Until Ron Paul cosponsors H. Res. 799, the call to impeach Cheney for lying us into Iraq and trying to repeat the maneuver with Iran, I’ll consider him a hypocrite. He’s so proud of his independent voting record, but on the issue of impeachment, the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING THIS NATION, Ron Paul is silent.

HYPOCRITE!

Democrats and Republicans in congress are doing nothing to stop the criminal Bush administration. Dr. Carol Wolman is running against representative Mike Thompson in California as a member of the Long House Coalition- an association of candidates across party lines who are dedicated to taking back congress for the people in November. In this video Dr. Wolman discusses key issues against the backdrop of the lively July 4th parade in Mendocino, California.

  1. I’m sorry for posting twice. I wanted to respond to “John Doe” above.

Ron Paul does not want theocracy at all. He wants the rules of our law followed, the Constitution. There has been absolutely no indication of this whatsoever. The NRLC wouldn’t endorse him because he said a pro-life stance on abortion must originate from each person’s principles, not through government legislation. You see, libertarians don’t believe in legislating people’s beliefs.

I am not Catholic, but I can see how a pope might be a peaceful creature.

Ron Paul wants the law turned over to The People. According to the Constitution, what rights aren’t specifically given to the federal government, belong to the states or the people. The ONLY rights the federal government have are to maintain a strong national defense and to protect the rights guaranteed by the Constitution. For example, if the citizens of Texas want cleaner emissions standards, then they have the right to petition their state to vote on the issue to effect change. It’s easier for The People to make changes at the state level than at the national level. You say he has no problem with states taking away our rights, but it is really The People controlling their state governments.

The “God vs. Natural Rights” comment you made is an uneducated one. Our Founding Fathers, as most people did in that time, used the words “nature’s God” in reference to the Lord. Most people, regardless of religion, believe God made nature. Therefore, any God-given rights are natural rights and our Constitution calls them “inalienable.”

  2. Hey there. Actually…

Ron Paul voted FOR articles of impeachment.

He has said time and time again that if Congress will just do the investigations required of it by the Constitution first, present the evidence to the Congress and the people, then he’d vote for impeachment.

So far, members of Congress have only acted out of emotion and HAVEN’T FOLLOWED THE RULES.

  3. Thanks for your comment, Afi. I edited it to post my blog with the same video that you suggested.

Sorry to hear that you won’t be supporting Dennis because of the UN.

  4. I Believe everybody should see this video:

Aaron Russo Has Died Aug. 24th 2007 + Mad As Hell + America: Freedom to Fascism – Director’s Authorized Version (videos)

We have even bigger problems than that.

Impeachment yes and I’m proud of that, but kucinich will not get my vote, because I Despise the UN.

  5. Thanks, Hope. I edited your comment as I already posted that video.

  6. It is my understanding that Ron Paul would probably support impeachment but only after all the proper procedures have been followed.

The link below provides additional insight and even more reasons why impeachment is justified:

Bruce Fein on Impeachment (video; updated)

  7. Dr. Paul has addressed this question on impeachment. BECAUSE he follows the constitution, he has voted to send the issue for investigation by the proper committee, and will reserve a judgement vote until the results are returned.

That’s how they did it with Clinton too…

  8. John, I edited the links out of your comment as I don’t have the time right now to check them all out.

  9. Just say no to Doctor No. I think its because he may be a servant of the Vatican. Paul wants a theocracy.
He claims Pope John Paul the 2nd was for peace and a champion of freedom. Ron Paul only opposes the federal government taking away our rights but he has no problem with state and local governments taking away our rights. I think Paul is mentally unbalanced. He says Jesus Christ is his personal savior, and that he seeks his guidance in everything he does. Paul claims our rights come from god at the same time he says they’re natural rights. If our rights are natural then then don’t come from any god, dumbass.
