It's Time Liberals and Leftists Started Questioning the Official Lies by Ed Ciaccio

In early 2010, more than a year before her death, Lynn Margulis, Distinguished University Professor of Geosciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, recipient of the William Procter Prize for Scientific Achievement, and a National Medal of Science recipient, wrote an article entitled “Two Hit, Three Down — The Biggest Lie.”

In that article, she asked: “Why did three World Trade Center buildings (#1,#2 and #7) collapse on 9/11, after two (and only two) of them were hit by ‘hijacked airplanes’?”

She gave the scientific answer:

“Because . . . the steel columns were selectively melted in a brilliantly-timed controlled demolition. Two 110-story buildings (towers 1 & 2), plus one 47-floor building (WTC 7), were induced to collapse at gravitationally accelerated rates in an operation planned and carried out by insiders. The apparent hijacking of airliners and the crashing of them into the Twin Towers were intrinsic parts of the operation, which together provided a basis for claiming that the buildings were brought down by Muslim terrorists. The buildings’ steel columns, which would have provided irrefutable physical evidence of the use of explosives, were quickly removed from the scene of the crime.”

But much more difficult than the scientific question, she said, is the “science-education problem”:

“The persistent problem is how to wake up public awareness, especially in the global scientifically literate public, of the overwhelming evidence that the three buildings collapsed by controlled demolition. . . . We, on the basis of hard evidence, must conclude that the petroleum fires related to the aircraft crashes were irrelevant (except perhaps as a cover story).”

She was a member of Scientists for 9/11 Truth (http://scientistsfor911truth.org/). In addition to Lynn Margulis, more than 1,600 architects and engineers, and numerous others, have called for a new investigation of the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks.

These terrorist attacks were used as the justification for George W. Bush to launch his endless, global “War on Terror”, which Barack Obama has expanded into Africa and additional Middle East countries, including illegal U.S. drone attacks inside many sovereign nations.  Obama also justifies his illegal, unconstitutional policy of assassination of anyone, anywhere without habeas corpus rights, as well as his further erosion of many of our other Constitutional rights beyond even what Bush did, as well as his truth-stifling policy of prosecuting whistle blowers, on the 9/11 terrorism.

So it behooves us, if we care about democracy and truth, and are as alarmed by the increasing Police State measures being taken by federal, state and local governments working in tandem with their corporate funders as we should be, to find out what REALLY happened on 9/11/01.

The great independent journalist I.F. Stone reminded us that, “All governments are run by liars and nothing they say should be believed.”

It is time notable liberals and leftists, who justifiably doubt nearly everything the government claims when it comes to justifications for war, consistently began to question the official conspiracy theory about 9/11 contained in the 9/11 Commission Report, and joined the more than 1,600 architects and engineers (see http://www.ae911truth.org/); and 220 senior military, intelligence, law enforcement & government officials; 250 pilots and aviation professionals; 400 professors; 200 artists, entertainers & media professionals; 400 medical professionals; and 300 9/11 survivors and family members (see http://patriotsquestion911.com/) calling for a new, scientific, truly objective, unbiased, uncorrupted investigation of 9/11/01.
