We’re making the sound
of asalaam alaykum to awaken the crowd
My people breaking it down
because we need peace & we need it nowNo matter what your politics,
you can’t deny this
War is killing people quick
& our society is sick
But we not looking for a cure
We just trying to procure
Enough money to endure
A life that anything but pure
But your hurting just like me
See yourself on the T.V.
in camps of refugees
tortured like a detainee
And you can look me in the eye
& tell me you don’t wonder why
Our cholesterol is high
& there’s starvation n Mumbai
Try to buy another path
But we can’t escape the wrath
I don’t need to do the math
There’s a constant blood bath
And the way we walk is slanted
We don’t nourish what we planted
We taking life for granted
But its time that we demanded:
STOP THE WAR, STOP THE WAR,
Right now, STOP THE WARThat’s why we
We’re Making the Sound
Of Asalaam alaykum to awaken the crowd
My people breaking it down
Because we need peace & we need it nowWe, the young people are 75 percent of society,
But we struggle for basic education.
We are searching for a peace & unity we’ve never seen.
We want to design the future ourselves…
because as the war turns 12As the war turns 12, the US military says
they should have total impunity for their crimes
but We ask why!
Why do they think they should not be held responsible? We’re Making the Sound
Of Asalaam alaykum to awaken the crowd
My people breaking it down
Because we need peace & we need it nowPeace to the Poets who propagate Peace
& power to the people who march in these streets
& word to the workers who walk in bare feet
& light to the writers who fight to get freeI see me in you and you in me
That’s why making the Sound…
Asalaam alaykum to awaken the crowd
My people breaking it down
Because we need peace & we need it now

What an exceptionally courageous and eminent human being!
Yes, David. She is an amazing woman and so very courageous.
Her indictment is so powerful, I’d really like to have a transcript…to send to that “pacific” Nobel Committee to muzzle their Greek choral platitudes…
“…2500 Afghan women have committed suicide so far in 2013…” ??!!!
True history is far too terrible a thing for humanity to grasp, when so many prefer the gilded lies and spectral phantastica of fervent deception; generously enhanced by corporate seductive guile, slick couture & racketeering glamour, these monstrous hoodoos are more accommodating to the paranoid sense of bloated self-importance and existential insecurity misogynist tyrants feed so richly upon.
Massaging egos is a rare skill.
We seem to have learned one big lesson from the Nazis ~ it really works. For a while.
I also wish there was a transcript (for all the videos I post). When one is available, I post the link to it.
The cost of the Afghanistan war to most intelligent people is a crime against humanity, the ability to make the few rich at the cost of the many, the tax payers, who contribute to these wars, the devastation to those whom the Western Allies, decide as to who next destroy? the path of destruction created by the Western Allies, is truly remarkable, the mind of many boggles at the impudence of these people who are in power to maintain violence on such a grand scale and carry out these crimes with impunity.
One would be forgiven to think those responsible, who are the central instigators to such mass violence, are but victims of cultural indoctrination, that makes them act as being innocent of any crime, and the mind of these people has the gymnastic ability to act in a way that has no connection with conscience or doubt or if their is any, able to over ride this as a impediment that requires recalibrating and adjustment to their reality of possible insanity, of the act, seen as being normal.
This “gymnastic ability” (well said ~ an elegant term, Don!) is the sine qua non of incorporated participation in our warped and psychologically dysfunctional, perversion-lusting “paraphilic” status quo.
