Apparently someone posted a link to a blog post from Dandelion Salad onto their Facebook Wall and one (or more) of their friends marked it as “Spam”.

When that happens anyone who now posts a link to a blog post from Dandelion Salad or shares a link via their friends or the Dandelion Salad Page on Facebook has to put in a security code (captcha).

The Internet Connection is Now Working Again by Lo

Beautiful Fall Day

Oct. 23, 2012

The Internet connection is now working again.

It was sporadic service from last Tues to Sat, then a serviceman came to fix it on Sat and made it worse, believe or not.

Made another appointment with another serviceman and he replaced the cable line to the utility pole and replaced the modem. And it’s up and running again.

Be it articles by Chris Hedges, myself, Philip A. Farruggio, Gunther Ostermann, other writers, or even when Lo herself posts a documentary having anything to do with religion or spirituality, it seems to be always met with either an apathetic yawn or just downright hostility. Why is this?

Having been a social activist in theory and in practice for about 40 years now, my observation is that most other activists with a strict secular mindset either ignore as irrelevant spiritual concepts, or resent them as an intrusion as if they are competing components to progress. (more…)

So I haven’t been writing; pouring out pages and pages of words; analyzing a bit of a sick foreign policy issue here and a handful of plentiful corruption stories there, or marveling at the rapid uncontested descent toward the ever-approaching ‘police state,’…

I am going to blame it partly on a hectic life in the fast lane, but only ‘partly.’ Here is the major reason for the absence of my ‘many-word’ postings:

I am tired; so very tired. I am tired of reading and listening to all these nicely written, well-argued, soundly reasoned, and sadly, factual words written and spoken by good natured preppy boys and girls. There are so many scandals, too may wrongs, and lots to fight. Unfortunately we still don’t have the majority, as is almost always the case whenever and wherever things get to be so wrong and awful; our good ole notion of the ‘irate minority.’ (more…)

Dandelion Salad is back online

Update: Am posting some of the Featured Writers’ work sent to DS over the past week and collecting videos for the vodpod acct: http://vodpod.com/dandelionsalad so please don’t forget to check out the videos many of which are more current news items.  Thanks!

Update: The Internet connection is back.  Yeah!

Hi Everyone!

Have the computer back and it’s working well, however, the Internet connection won’t work. I brought the computer back to the shop and it connected just fine to their Internet connection, so it’s something with the connection at my house.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Thanks again for your patience during the past week.

cheers,

Lo (still writing from the public library, a la Socialism!}

Dandelion Salad will be back next Thursday or Friday

The computer is getting fixed; it needs replacements for both hard drives.  It should be ready for pick up next Thurs. or Fri.

Thanks again for your patience.

cheers,

Lo
