Bush outlaws war protest – citizens face full asset seizure

Well it has happened. This maniacal son of a bitch has outlawed all war protest against the Iraq war here in the United States. Passed into law July 17th. Since congress is too weak-kneed to stand up and do the right thing, perhaps it will be left to the American people.

  1. Well in C-SPAN’s defense the guy talking did push his time to 55 seconds… he rambled alot. But, still sparks my aprehensiveness

  2. They cut off another guy this morning when he said the World Trade Center was brought down by a controlled demolition.

  3. This smells of Chaney. He is the real brains behind the dictatorship that is forming in the last eighteen months of this terrible administration. Now I am wondering if he will leave office peacefully, or declare a state of emergency and martial law to keep power. Does that sound far-fetched? God, I hope so.

  4. Wow,

What a way to avoid any of the really had to explain issues, Sorry we lost that call. Way to go….Afriad to lose your house for ansering that the president is wrong in doing that huh?

  5. He is the same C-SPAN goon who cut off several Ron Paul supporters on May 16 (the day after the GOP debate on Fox Noise Channel).

He’s also the same C-SPAN hack who cut off callers on the May 24 edition of the Washington Journal, wherein super war hawk/neocon hack Bing West was the guest (http://detain-this.blogspot.com/2007/05/c-span-hits-another-low-point.html).

C-SPAN is NOT practicing what they preach in terms of balance of view. Check out FAIR’s (Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting) 6-month study of C-SPAN from 2005 (http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=2780).

And that doesn’t begin to describe the infection.

C-SPAN regularly hosts zero-credibility guests trumpeting xenophobic, dangerous and fraudulent neocon talking points. They air uncut speaking engagements of lying propagandists, traitors and terrorists in front of pre-screened audiences, not allowing for inconvenient questions from opposing viewpoints (http://www.booktv.org/program.aspx?ProgramId=8379&SectionName=&PlayMedia=No)

According to Wikipedia (I hate citing Wikipedia):

“C-SPAN is operated as a non-profit organization by the National Cable Satellite Corporation, whose board of directors consists primarily of representatives of the largest cable companies.”

In other words: C-SPAN is a corporate-run entity, and where there are corporate tentacles, there is pro-administration/pro-state/pro-status quo bias.

Don’t be fooled by the superficial air of objectivity; it doesn’t exist.

  6. This is an excellent example of the boundaries of permissible discourse. The censorship of content is so blatant as to remove all doubt that the caller was cut off because of the subject matter.

These are the very antics that the “Iron Curtain” countries of my childhood were supposed to commit.
