They’ve been absent for about 7 years, but the Democrats’ testicles are finally starting to drop. Senator Patrick Leahy is the big baller of this nutty bunch. Let’s hope they continue to grow to maturity. Will we see a battle of cross swords if Rove simply ignores the subpoena like Bolton and Miers, who are now being cited with contempt of Congress?

John Oliver reports on the disappointing Saudi goalkeeping which resulted in Iraq’s soccer team capturing the Asian Cup. In his opinion, the only redeemable aspect seems to be that so few people were killed during the celebration. However, not even that ray of sunshine could break through the gloomy cloud over Iraq for too long.
