Ron Paul on The O’Reilly Factor (video)

Bill keeps repeating the inaccurate statement that Iran wants “to blow Israel off the map”.  Propaganda being repeated over and over is why most people believe this to be true when it’s not.  I also take exception to Bill’s conclusion saying this was a “lively debate”; Ron Paul rarely finished a sentence before Bill cut him off.  ~ Lo

Pres. candidate Ron Paul was on The O’Reilly Factor on Sept. 10, 2007. Ron Paul did a good job with Bill.

ONLY RON PAUL AND DENNIS KUCINICH VOTED NO! (vid; 25 seconds)

  1. Ron Paul is absolutely correct in each and every point he made, and despite my differences with his economic vision and his apparently peculiarly texan love of gun rights, it’s a grand thing that he’s out there under his party’s flag and so matter-of-factly talking some sense about his party’s war “policy”!

(and I bet Dennis can appreciate the support on that one, although Dennis is far more evolved, there is no doubt there! Dennis Kucinich could really be a great, truly visionary political figure for the genuine common good, and we’ve not seen that in a president since… well, ever!)

How can it be that of all the candidates in this humongous menu, it’s only Dennis alone who promotes legislation for impeachment?
How can it be that it is Dennis alone who talks about “the End of War as an Instrument of Policy”? How can it be that after all this horror the electorate is not demanding that more candidates comit to that level of requisite legal ethics??

Politicians are almost unanimously sadly suckered by their sleazy narcissm, while their position offers this immense opportunity to do good, and to bring the world along a massive progressive wave peace and prosperity. It utterly spins my brain in complete disbelief and bewildered befuddlement that…
    (well, you know!!)

But my problem with discussing and debating various stated national “policies” and taking sides with confrontational TV talk, is that the apparent policies promoted are pretentions.

It’s useful to rebut the stated policy and to expose the fraud, debating bill the hawk (or should we call him bill the shill, or Hawksbill… Hawkshill??) is an obligatory rebuttal to make regularly and articulately, as Ron Paul here does.

But it does no good as far as addressing the beyond-unbearable horror that grinds on regardless. Even HawksBill knows in his heart there is something very, very sinister going on, and especially that he was a big part of it. He’s no dummy (an idiot perhaps, but somehow the mouth kept working…)

I’m starting to take peoples moral and legal “politics” very ‘personally’! In fact it’s getting so personal for me, I personally indict each and every individual who carries out these crimes in battle.

The concept that soldiers are only following orders, or that there is glory, valor or respect in militarism or combat & this warrior cult, has got to be thoroughly deconstructed. I say start by indicting the enlisted service personel for their complicity and conspiracy in carrying out blatant violations of the Geneva Accords and UN Charter.

I’m definitely thrilled with the Citizen’s Arrest idea. This is a war-crime. We are complicit if we don’t manifest dissent. When it comes to war-crimes and atrocities and aggressive military invasions, we are obligated to uphold the law. Prosecuters of this war need to be faced with arrest warrants at every appearance! I say we mail one to each and every grunt– and yes I DO blame them!

(OK so Kissinger and Pinochet did just fine, and nobody dare go near Cheney no matter what he does, and yeah everybody get’s pardoned anyway, but still!…)

Maybe it’s the change in the season approaching, but I am getting a bad feeling, a feeling of foreboding.

Perhaps it’s hearing how people are maybe kinda accepting of the shape-shifting stated “policy”, and are in the end sorta fine with the war, and are certainly not interested in accepting the blame for anyone’s suffering.

Perhaps people are in the end just pissed at the price of gas and secretly wish we’d just set up our derricks and start pumping already…

I sense a very thick cloud of moral and ethical congestion falling further across the population. Somehow we seem to have here no longer even a ‘pretend’ moralistic society that in any way genuinely upholds any of its long vaunted legal or religious underpinnings.

This war seems to have drained even the pretension of love out of the people of this place, and what remains is only the cold reality of decadent, dying, ill-deserved and ill-gotten aristocratic aspirations, and the resultant criminal abuse in support of their selfish capitalist greed. I suppose it wouldn’t be the first time…

Perhaps the nation has just finally gone over to the dark side of apathetic acceptance of the ‘price’ of our prosperity, and secretly condones the crimes en masse.

Prosperity and opportunity notwithstanding, I would actually, finally say these are some of the worst of times– if not only for their contemporary horrors, but for the future horrors engendered by a multitude of un-reformed personal and national selfish, violent, obnoxious American attitudes which got this vicissitude to where it is thus far.

So much for great opportunity and wealth bringing on enlightenment, great art and Utopia!

  2. Thanks, Chad, much appreciated. 🙂 One of these days I’ll be taking a break as there is much work to do around my house before winter comes. But, I’m addicted to the news.

  3. Dear Lo,

I second everything Stardove posted above. Thank you so much for spending so much of your time informing us about so very much. Thank you, your work is greatly appreciated!

    Namaste, ~Chad

  4. Hi Stardove, thanks so much for your kindness. I do take this to be my “job” so to speak although I don’t get paid to do this.

I know I’m neglectful of my friends in many ways but if someone messages me, I reply back.

peace to you and all my online friends,
    Lo

  5. Dear Lo,

Thanks for all you do to let people know about the happenings in the USA and the world. I for one think you are doing a wonderful job at your blog and at My Space. You give so much of your time to inform others. Thank you!!!

    Peace Love Stardove

  6. Maybe you are right. It makes no sense to “chit chat” on blogs either.
    That would be too human.
Thanks for the Cindy video. I am relieved in that sense.
    Exit stage left.

  7. Hi Lisa, don’t have a clue what you are talking about. I’m a Kucinich supporter and so is Cindy Sheehan.

I also don’t take politics personally. I have lots of friends (online and in real life) with differing opinions on all the various issues.

Sorry not to have visited you on your myspace page, I’m not one to chit chat much, there’s too much news to post and it takes up all my time.

  8. So sorry to see that you too are voting for Ron Paul.
I was shocked to see that Cindy Sheehan was too. You never came around to say hello to me on myspace anyway… So as far as I am concerned, I will exit, stage left.

    Peace anywho

  9. Bill O’Really, Bill Oh’Really ! Stop, you’re killing me, thought this was supposed to be an information program, not an ambush. We, the people, would like it if you’d just “Shut up’ and let your guest’s finish their thoughts.
Perhaps Bill O’ Really doesn’t need a History Lesson, but it would most likely help his listener’s understand the reasons Why. The C.I.A., has been in the business of OVERTHROWING Il/legitimate Foreign Governments, for the past, at least since WW-II. Well, well that’s almost same amount of time that they’ve been in Business. Hmm….Bill it ‘s called Meddling. You just want your listener’s think. it’s “intellegence gathering”, maybe your friends at the Club house sould fill you in, or have they already ?

  10. Ron Paul had to do this interview; if he didn’t O’Reilly would have said “We tried to get Congressman Paul to come and represent the antiwar position…but for some strange reason he didn’t show up…”

I really thought it was a great interview considering how much of a prick BIll-O is. None of Ron Paul’s ideas fit well into one-liners or zingers. That Bill said “we don’t need a history lesson” proves my point. How can you discuss foreign policy and leave history out of it?

At any rate, it was a RELATIVELY friendly interview, and EVERYONE should email Bill O’Reilly and thank him for having PAul come on and represent that view. Tell him it was cool to see both sides of the argument.

Don’t be sarcastic or take a shot at Bill. That does nothing for Ron Paul. It just makes you feel like you’re cool.

    -Chad

  11. Ron Paul (and Dennis Kucinich for that matter) are doing their very best to cope in a hostile media climate that simplifies every issue down to either being for it or against each issue without allowing critical thinking that provides for selecting the very best aspects from all points of view on every issue we face. No one is without a flaw or two; however, we all have something to teach and something to learn from everyone who crosses our path.

Give me the Dennis Kucinich domestic policies, the Ron Paul foreign-military-immigration policies, and a sensible compromise between their differing fiscal policies and a happier, healthier America we could become, in my humble opinion.

  12. I enjoy how Bill’s microphone is turned up louder and he can just talk over any point he doesn’t want to respond to. What a lively debate when he cuts off any idea that isn’t an agreeable soundbite.

Go to sleep America, your government is in control.

  13. You have to take interviews when they are available, everyone knows how Billo operates so this is no surprise, he did have a chance to get in some of his common sense ideas, Dr. Paul is right on every issue, and man he can handle the media, i’ve been watching him being interviewed by total morons asking the stupidest questions and he does great every time, btw there is a class action suit filed against the major media outlets for lying and non-reporting of the Paul campaign, peace…

  14. PAUL SHOULDN’T EVEN BOTHER TO DO INTERVIEWS ON FOX NOISE PROGRAMING. ALTHOUGH HE MAY FEEL IT GIVES HIM EXPOSURE, IT REALLY TURNS INTO A NEO-CON BASH RON PAUL FEST. THEY DON’T ALLOW THE MAN TO SPEAK, AND THEY TALK OVER HIM WHEN HE IS TRYING TO MAKE A POINT. HERE’S HOPING O’RIELLY AND HANNITY GET CAUGHT IN A TOE TAPPING INCIDENT IN A FOX NOISE URINAL.
