William Mac brings to your attention “Gold and Economic Freedom” by Allen Greenspan — a four page essay first published in 1966.

This was brought to William Mac’s attention from a viewer named Individualliberty on YouTube.

Yet, since William Mac isn’t a suitable authority to provide a concrete answer as to whether or not the re-establishment of the Gold Standard really is going to work, he wants YOUR help.

Record your own videos and thoughts. Help to teach each other.

Read the essay for yourself at ThisWeekinTime.com and then submit your videos and ideas for discussion on the new forum.

William can’t wait to learn something from all of you.

  1. Yes, don’t be so hard on yourself, it was good…..don’t know why more people aren’t responding, when they seem to have plenty of time to respond to much lesser quality stuff….I’m 56 and used to read the Objectivist in the ’60’s…..I always liked their articles, but never quite felt I understood the big picture, and longed for “community” life to talk these things over, so keep up the good work! -Sara-

  3. what was the value of US dollar before 1900 and what was the value of gold before 1900. Compare it and it sum that, gold and bunch of currencies will replace the US dollar.

  4. Oh, don’t be so hard on yourself, William. I liked it, you’ve got a great idea with the end of the month specials and the forum for further discussion. Keep up the wonderful work you do, my friend! And get some rest, too.
