  16. This is one of Moyers’ best shows — and that’s saying a lot. If you aren’t a farmer, you’ll be greatly enlightened on an issue of urgency. The new Farm Bill (still laden with atrocious subsidies you’ve probably never heard of) will be voted on within the next few days.

    I hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to become more informed by Bill Moyers and his excellent guest, Rev. David Beckmann (also an economist and founder of Bread for the World), and then write to Congress about the issues. Rev. Beckmann regularly speaks with Washington honchos and said Harry Reed told him the farm lobby is just too powerful to oppose. Let’s try to give Harry some backbone, shall we?
