Kyrgyzstan to shut key NATO base

The President of Kyrgyzstan has announced that the US military will have to leave the Manas Air Base near Bishkek. The facility is central to NATO operations in Afghanistan. The Kyrgyz government said the US wasn’t prepared to pay an appropriate fee to use the base.

  6. The base provides $150 million dollars a year ro the local economy. Bring these bases back to America, we need $150 million dollars brought to “our” local economies.
    One of the reasons why we’re in an economic slump, foriegn bases around the world. Of course without a “war”, the force size would be reduced, and there would be more un-employed, dis-enfranchized Children to contend with, but that is why we have “prison’s for profit”, you know “law n order”..
