People don’t seem to understand that “single payer” means exactly what it says. It isn’t about rationing health care or taking people off it. It’s about universal health care that is being paid for by one single payer—the U.S. government, and it is supported by our taxes.
Nothing else in the system really needs to change. We can see the same doctors and even use the same hospitals. But the checks will be coming from the government, not from a private insurance company. You can read more about this on Health Spectator.
