Israeli security forces have forcibly evicted two Palestinian families from a contested East Jerusalem neighbourhood.

The families have lived in Sheikh Jarrah since 1956 but an Israeli court ruled that the homes belonged to Jewish families.

Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros reports from occupied East Jerusalem.

  1. What else can be said about what Israel is doing to the Palestinians, in broad day light, and defiantly in front of the whole world, that hasn’t already been said over and over?

Imagine for a moment any other country in the world daring to conduct such outright ethnic cleansing. How outraged would the whole world would be, and the US would be so righteously leading the movement to denounce them and ask the Security Council condemn and denounce such criminal activity, and announcing them to be a rogue state that doesn’t belong in the family of the civilized nations of the world. And that it should be punished and boycotted – and maybe even build a military coalition to force them to abide by the will of the international community – but NO, not when Israel is the one who is doing it.

WHY the hell is that? And why such despicable act is tolerated by the world? How can such a tiny, flimsy bully of a country scare practically the whole world, and force it to turn its eyes away from these crimes against humanity that it’s conducting on daily basis?

Even the US, with all its might, can’t get away with that – but Israel can. Does that make any sense whatsoever?!!!

Doesn’t all that sound to the sane developed world as being unbelievable and outrageous – and why doesn’t any of them have the moral and ethical guts to dare stand up and ask these same questions?

I give up on the rules of sanity and morality that are supposed to govern and guide the policies of the developed world! From the looks of things, one must draw the only logical, but crazy conclusion that Israel is not only a super power of sorts, but practically runs and manipulates the developed, sovereign and presumed moral world – and I know how crazy that sounds, but if any one has a better explanation, to explain what is going on, and how can Israel do and get away with that, even with its powerful lobby in Washington – unless its power is much mightier than we have ever imagined, and there’s more to the story than we know, please enlighten me.

Regardless of the depth of this enigma, the US and the rest of the world, that stand idly by watching such crimes, are undoubtedly guilty of complicity with war criminals and should be ashamed of themselves for being themselves what they purport to hate and despise.
