Death rather than nation building – that’s what the U.S. army brought to Iraq and is bringing to Afghanistan according to former army sergeant and anti-war activist Matthis Chiroux.

He shared his views on the U.S. military campaigns with RT’s Marina Portnaya.

  1. Truer words were never spoken. War is spreading death and every country in recorded history had excuses why they had to do it. Even “democratic Athens” built an empire across the Mediterranean sea and fought a war with Sparta over it. I am paraphrasing Voltaire, but I think he said something like murder is only legal when done in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.
