  1. Democracy, a hard shelled, but hallow institution.
    A place where money dictates policy, and the policy usually dictates harm to the poor indigenious people. Whether its natural resources, communial health, individual wealth, but most certainly land confiscation. All this while protecting the property of the well monitized person[s], and personhoods.

  2. In my opinion Arundhati Roy gave the right answer to whether the Maoists had the right to self defense. If the rich are intent on destroying this planet for profit and make a hell for the poor, I say it is better to die on your feet than live on your knees.
