Ben Bernanke is on the Hill for reconfirmation hearings. Given the situation of the U.S. economy and the state of the dollar, should he be reappointed? Gerald Celente says no way.

  2. I happen to have caught the Ron Paul-Ed Schultz exchange about Bernanke and the Federal Reserve engine last night. His tossing of the baton from himself to Schultz to make a ‘direct appeal to the President,’ stunned me! Who’s counting on whom to change things?!?

And then, Paul as much as said it won’t make any difference what Congress decides, the President won’t go along. “This is big stuff,” he said, and then went on to expound on the powerful tentacles of the Federal Reserve internationally.

Is Ron Paul evidencing how fearful he and others in our Congress are?!?

    Enlighten me, please!

      • Thank you, Lo. That IS the clip I watched again this morning on this page, and on which I based my concern. I see that Congressman Paul supports an audit, but I want him to assert that Congress will not take “veto” for a final answer!

I’m no veteran of understanding the Federal Reserve, but its power seems to me to be at the root of empire building!

      • No problem…I watched it again, checking my own initial and second reactions to what the Congressman said. It just seemed to me he confirmed the size of the problem (federal reserve), affirmed it was an important sighting, and then circled around to saying ‘nothing’s going to happen.’

Second guessing an outcome of defeat doesn’t appeal to my problem-solving approach…my warrior instincts, if you will. Right now and for all of us, “bombs are bursting in air,” and each one of us is a flag proving We the People are still here.

I thank you for responding at all, Lo. You really go the distance!

        • Again, so sorry to lead you to the same video. I read/moderate the comments from a Comments file, not the actual post and I just didn’t read the full title of the post. Spacey on my part.

I like your attitude, Annie! Yes, it certainly does seem that Ron Paul doesn’t think that if passed, Obama will sign it. It would be great if all the co-sponsors would make a fuss about this.
