End the Endless Wars!

Following a speech on the Floor of the House of Representative, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today made the following statement:

“U.S. contractors are paying U.S. tax dollars to the Taliban in order to protect the delivery of U.S. shipments of U.S. goods to U.S. soldiers so that our soldiers can fight the Taliban.

In an investigative expose, The Nation magazine reveals “how the U.S. funds the Taliban” and “with pentagon cash, contractors bribe the insurgents not to attack supply for U.S. troops.”

“Another quote: “The real secret to trucking in Afghanistan is ensuring security on the perilous roads patrolled by warlords, insurgents, tribal militias and Taliban commandeers. The American executive I spoke to was fairly specific about it. The army is basically paying the Taliban not to shoot at them,” and then the Taliban uses that money to shoot at our troops. What a racket.

“Are we in Afghanistan to fight or to fund the Taliban? Or both?”

  2. Wasn’t aware congressional approval of war was mute. ‘Irregardless’, we know how they vote.

Admit it, the USA is addicted to the ‘valor’ of ww2, hence their each and every one a mistake interventions since.

In a sense, it seems the heady patriotism of the WW2 years left a dopamine-scar on the culture, making them addicts to enlisted militarism aka socialized mass-murder.

  3. You wanna be a radical Islamist (or Zionist), how about NO KILLING, PERIOD! That would be a complete long awaited reformation for real.

    • Actually, we’re there to enable the CIA’s lucrative heroin trade and enable the military industrial complex’s continuing raid on the U.S. Treasury.

Oops! They emptied the Treasury a few years ago. I meant their raid on our grand children’s future via the multi trillion dollar deficit.
