Is it time to walk out on the Democrats? It is time to back alternative third-party candidates and grass-roots movements, no matter how marginal such support may be. The more the party fails the more likely we will see more green parties, tea parties and other parties springing up.

of course the two party system is broken- it was set up that way on purpose. only when the forward looking folks decide to fight for democracy will we ever have it. i don’t say ‘take back the country’ anymore because it has become quite clear that this country was never ‘of the people or for the people or even by the people’- nope. it’s scary but revolution is going to be the only alternative at some point.
Uh, Chris…. “Proto”?
Full blown already there, buddy.
Call it as it is.
We can and must support Democrats who are truly progressives. Otherwise, **** ’em. No more leastworsting. The road to hell is truly paved with leastworsting.
So, Chris Hedges, who do you support?
Or are these just ideas for people other than yourself ?
