Emergency personnel are scrambling to rescue people trapped under rubble in Turkey after a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck the eastern province of Elazig.

The initial quake was followed by more than 20 aftershocks, killing scores and destroying buildings across numerous towns in the region.

  1. It’s sad the amount of lives are lost to earthquakes in Turkey. Unfortunately the country runs across several fault lines.
