VETERANS OF “WIKILEAKS” INCIDENT ANNOUNCE

“LETTER OF RECONCILIATION” TO IRAQIS INJURED IN ATTACK

Two former soldiers from the Army unit responsible for the Wikileaks “Collateral Murder” incident have written an open-letter of “Reconciliation and Responsibility” to those injured in the July 2007 attack, in which U.S. forces wounded two children and killed over a dozen people, including the father of those children and two Reuters employees.

Ethan Mccord and Josh Stieber deployed to Baghdad with Bravo Company 2-16 in 2007. Ethan was on the ground at the scene of the shooting, and is seen on the video rushing one of the injured children to a U.S. Vehicle; “When I saw those kids, all I could picture was my kids back home”. Ethan applied for mental health support following this incident and was denied by his commanding officer.

(SOAPBOX #58) – Cindy talks with Eva Golinger, an Venezuelan-American attorney from New York living in Caracas, Venezuela since 2005 and author of The Chàvez Code: Cracking US Intervention in Venezuela, by Olive Branch Press, 2006, as well as of several other highly impressive documents.  She and Cindy have both seen Venezuela from within Chavez’s alleged “dictatorship.”  Both very much like it.  It has indeed come to our attention that as Noam Chomsky famously remarked, “Any dictator would admire the uniformity and obedience of the U.S. media.”  Well, our tightly controlled U.S. media absolutely forbids any realistic view of life in Chavez’s Venezuela today.  Only here at Cindy’s web site we are NOT “uniform and obedient,” just as the Venezuelan media isn’t “uniform and obedient” either.  Read the documentation.  You’ll see.  Eva and Cindy both want to give you at least a tiny glimpse of the view from behind that curtained window!  Perhaps you might start by reading Eva’s penetrating insight into U.S. supported efforts to delegitimatize and destabilize and destroy the democracy that is Venezuela today, as noted in her most excellent capsule document.  Or you could read her most revealing interview.  But probably the very best idea is: listen in to our interview with Eva Golinger by clicking on the link above. The odds are always good that men in power will do evil things because there’s an established evil side to the human personality, especially when men are defending privileges.

(Rome) By pure chance two encounters occurred simultaneously: I read a reference to Aristotle’s discussion of possibility and probability in M.H. Abrams’ book, The Mirror and the Lamp, and, on the same day, several press articles concerning the U.S. threat to “pull the trigger” on Iran.
