Philosopher and linguist Noam Chomsky says the US is propagating the idea that Iran is a threat because the Islamic Republic does not obey Washington’s orders.

“Iran is perceived as a threat because they did not obey the orders of the United States,” Chomsky said in an interview with Germany’s Freitag weekly, which was published on Thursday.

“Militarily this threat is irrelevant,” he added, noting that the country has not acted aggressively towards any other country for centuries.

Ethan McCord, a former US soldier, has shown great courage and integrity by exposing and condemning US war crimes in Iraq.

McCord’s courage and integrity has nothing to do with his US army training. In fact, his virtue and trenchant humanity is in spite of his US army training which, he says, systematically tried to turn him into a cold-blooded killing machine bereft of any morals or conscience. (1)

A virtual call to arms is now being sounded by some Tea Party organizers. One of them says:

“How many more Citizens must die before Washington realizes America is under a full scale attack? TeaParty.org will NOT negotiate our values. We will NOT stand down and we will NOT go silently into the night. ”

Deep deep deep inside the bowels of the White House is this private, very private chamber. Some say its the place where REAL PRESIDENT Cheney stays, and operates the REAL government. Today, on this cold, bitter cold Sunday, Super Sunday, the top elite from the cabinet are conducting a very important meeting–the prospect of war with Iraq, or rather the need to have a war with Iraq. Let’s be a “fly on the wall” and listen in.

Powell–“Mr. President…”

Junior–“Ah yes Colin…”

Cheney (over Junior’s voice)–“Yes General Powell…. please Junior..”
