I want to clarify just what I know to be true in the United States today and a little about my background. I recently posted an article on a large website that is read by many Democrats. In fact someone told me that I can’t back up what I say with facts, and that my articles are “drivel”. Let me tell you a little about myself.

First of all, even though I was against the Vietnam War I managed to stay in the Army for almost 21 years. I was heavily involved in the peace movement and let me tell you, the Army was aware of almost everything I did. Still, I retired but not at the rank I would have wanted to. I was a Democrat that was in love with the Kennedy brothers and Eugene McCarthy. I was a “liberal” Democrat, a term that has fallen out of favor in the last decade.

It was Bill Clinton’s campaign strategist, James Carville, who in 1992 created the election slogan: “It’s the Economy, Stupid.” For the 2010 Congressional campaigns, the slogan should have been: “It’s Corporate Crime and Control, Stupid.”

But notwithstanding the latest corporate crime wave, the devastating fallout on workers, investors and taxpayers from the greed and corruption of Wall Street, and the abandonment of American workers by U.S. corporations in favor of repressive regimes abroad, the Democrats have failed to focus voter anger on the corporate supremacists.

Need computer help by Lo (Updated-Solved)

Update

Thanks so much to John Pack for walking me through on how to fix this.  It worked.  So, it’s back to work posting again.  Guess I’ll have to wait on starting that book I wanted to read, oh, well.

OK, AVG virus program found 3 trojan horses earlier today and I put them in the “vault”.  It was after clicking on a link in an email to a known website, so I don’t know if it was that particular website that I “got” the trojan horses from.

But now I can’t load any website pages other than secure ones.  I use https for my blog editor here which is secure.

The error message I receive from Firefox is:

The proxy server is refusing connections

Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.
