Back from Afghanistan, Kathy Kelly, Eric Stoner, and Mike Ferner make clear the needless tragedy of death, maiming, and destruction going on daily that the American People need to face and reject. Moderated by actress-activist Vinie Burrows, they negate Obama’s claim the US is on track to meet its goals or even making progress, pointing to the unacceptable murder, torn bodies, destroyed buildings from our cruel empire’s bombing, rockets and shooting. They talk of Afghan children and adults challenging the US logic of killing and maiming their family members and destroying their homes and other structures without good reason. The news orgy about Tucson is eclipsed each day by the disasters of US foreign wars. Droning whole weddings? Shelling & shooting up civilians? Where are Obomba’s news-stopping speeches about those innocents he’s commanding the killing of? I feel this is a profound double-standard. High-capacity munitions & rapid-fire mass-killings are the rule in these wars, it’s time we mourned the innocents killed & the hell the murderers are going through when we sanction normal people to kill be killed, not psychopaths, to do exactly this kind of cold-blooded killing abroad for no good reason. This is all an unspeakable hypocrisy. Horror.
There almost certainly will be peace in Afghanistan as soon as the Gringos manage to kill all Afghans and transform the entire Afghanistan into an US military base. That’s where it’s heading, a couple of thousand of billions of $s and few dozens of years from now.
