Former Afghan spy chief forms grassroots movement

on Mar 19, 2011

Amrullah Saleh, the former head of Afghanistan’s intelligence agency, has cast doubt over Hami Karzai, the president’s plan to bring stability in the country, and says he is making secret deals with the Taliban.

He has also formed a so-called grassroots movement in a bid to bring peace.

Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports.
