I would agree that we have no elected officials who have the courage to tell the truth, but that shouldn’t mean that we citizens should give up on the truth too, just because it is no longer popular to believe in it in this country. If you want to live in a country that lives by the Constitution and the rule of law, then you have to believe in the truth and support the rule of law. Early on in his administration Obama broke the law when he failed to prosecute his predecessor. It’s called being an Accessory After the Fact. It’s a crime.

TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 1 > § 3

§ 3. Accessory after the fact

Whoever, knowing that an offense against the United States has been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact.

Except as otherwise expressly provided by any Act of Congress, an accessory after the fact shall be imprisoned not more than one-half the maximum term of imprisonment or (notwithstanding section 3571) fined not more than one-half the maximum fine prescribed for the punishment of the principal, or both; or if the principal is punishable by life imprisonment or death, the accessory shall be imprisoned not more than 15 years. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/718/usc_sec_18_00000003—-000-.html

If you want to read my basic assessment of his predecessor’s crimes you can read this: http://www.gpln.com/constitutionincrisis.htm

The fact is that Obama has continued to commit many of the crimes that Bush and his administration committed, including murder, renditions, indefinite detentions, launching illegal war and other crimes including various war crimes and other affronts against the Constitution.

He doesn’t deserve our respect, he doesn’t deserve to be in office, he shouldn’t be taken seriously as a public servant. He is unqualified and disqualified. It is too late for Obama.

Even if he were to change his spots and behave like a real President of the United States from this point forward, it wouldn’t change the fact that he is a criminal and ought to be held accountable for his crimes.

If you can’t see your way to agree with me then perhaps that’s why we no longer have a president or congress that believe in the rule of law. There is no lawmaker of which I am aware who publicly agrees with what I just said. To me that means there is no one in public office that deserves to be in public office. If you want to live in a country that believes in the rule of law, where no one is above the law, you will need to come to terms with truth.

The President of the United States does not have permission to commit murder or any other crime. Period. No one else does either. If the president has no authority to commit murder, he has no right or authority to give anyone else permission to commit murder or to break any other law. We have a criminal government. To the extent that you give them a pass on their criminal behavior, you are an accessory, and the reason, and the cause for the decline of our country. This is how I see it. You have no right to complain about how your elected officials behave if you haven’t the consciousness to know the difference between right and wrong, between legal and illegal, between keeping your word or oath of office and you gave your word the last time you said the pledge of allegiance. This is how it is.

Nothing you say or think is going to change the truth. It is what it is.

  2. By the logic presented here, since Obama, and Congress are in flagrant violation of the law, they as criminals have no right to prosecute or imprison anyone of any Federal charges, they all become mute by the criminal activities of all involved.

  3. Surely, I dreamed of Bush Team being prosecuted for manipulating intell reports. I dreamed of further investigations into the anthrax letters containing government created anthrax. We still know little of the truth about these things. But we have 435 elected representatives in D.C. so why does all this have to come from Obama himself? Why blame it all on one man ? There are citizens,, federal prosecutors, and representatives who can initiate lawsuits themselves. Is it Obama’s main job to be a prosecutor? How about “change” coming from the people up ? Do any of us believe that Bush was not manipulated himself ? Where are all those people right now? Obama is but one man. It is idiotic and simplistic to put all of this on one plate of a first term president, when you consider what he is really up against. Our system needs repairing and restructuring. Our federal government is controlled by lobbyists. The mil/ind complex owns and controls 90% of our manufacturing assets. 80% of Americans are basically a little on the slow side. Do your part, educate a neighbor,, begin a dialogue,, start up a neighborhood discussion group about current events. There are many things to do before we just blame it all on Obama ,, and then have another one of these advertising nightmares we call elections and then just blame everything on another president. He is asking Israel to recognize the 1967 borders. This is a gutsy move. Let’s give him a chance. We are in a rapidly changing world. Obama, just like all of us, is probably just trying to understand all that is going on. He is just a human. I think he has taught us all already, that this country will never be corrected from every single incorrect direction by just one man.Let’s be thankful that “W” is just keeping his mouth shut these days.

    • Every elected official takes an oath of office. He is expected to keep that oath. That’s his job. That’s his priority above every other. A public servant can make all kinds of campaign promises. He can’t be impeached for not keeping his word on those, but he ought to be impeached for not keeping his oath of office. This president’s job is to make decisions. He makes them every day. Many of the decisions this president has made are to commit crimes.
Surely he’s not the only public servant who doesn’t understand his job and/or doesn’t have the courage or honor to keep his oath of office. They ought to be voted out of office if they fail to keep their oath and they should be prosecuted if they commit crimes. Obviously, if we want to live in the country we were taught we live in when we were in 6th grade we at at the point of revolution. That doesn’t mean that any blood needs to be spilled. It means that citizens, if we want to live in that country, will have to vote out people who haven’t the character to keep their oath of office and vote in people who do have such character. If we’re not willing to do that, the great experiment is over. To paraphrase what Ben Franklin said to the woman who asked him what kind of government we had: “A constitutional republic, Madam, if you can keep it.” We have to decide if we want to keep it. Time to choose. We’re at the end of our rope. The Constitution is being shredded as we speak. If citizens haven’t the will and the courage to defend the Constitution, we no longer live in that Constitutional Republic which Franklin helped give birth.
