My Feelings, Everyone has their limitations and when pushed to their limits, will simply React. Married people React in arguments and are unable to keep their heads and end up causing violence.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF CHURCH IN THE 1st CENTURY??
Joe Friendly with the video camera, “Who’s Land? Our Land!!”

Gideon Oliver, President of the National Lawyers Guild, 20 Protesters scheduled to go on Trial this Monday, Criminal Trespass charges. Trinity Church was reached out to to drop charges, but Plead powerlessness. That is misleading. No one from Trinity asked charges to be dropped.

Daniel Berrigan @ OWS, with Chris Hedges

Jun 7, 2012 by

PLEASE excuse the audio, Fr Daniel Berrigan is 91 years old. I did ask Chris Hedges to translate/mic check for him.

Called “the priest who stayed out in the cold” and “holy outlaw,” Father Daniel J. Berrigan (born 1921) never came to terms with the conservatism of the Catholic Church or with the militarism of the American nation. He lived his life as a militant servant of the Christian faith.

Daniel Berrigan was born in Virginia, Minnesota, on May 9, 1921. His father was a socialist farmer and railroad engineer who wrote poetry and raised his six sons in the brawling, argumentative atmosphere of a small farm near Syracuse, New York. Daniel was the frailest of the boys and from childhood had determined to enter the Catholic priesthood. When he was 18 he joined the Society of Jesus–the Jesuits. In 1952, after 13 years of training (“a most unfinished man”), he was ordained a priest. His brother Philip had also become a Catholic priest, though of a different order. More info here; Daniel J. Chris Hedges spent two decades as a foreign reporter covering wars in Latin America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. His latest books are Death of the Liberal Class, and The World as It Is: Dispatches on the Myth of Human Progress.

    • Chris Hedges has been the conscience of this generation . That cant be said about black block . He spent 10 years reporting on crimes against humanity first hand . do you think that black block would do that ? they just add to the problem . Hedges seeks to unravel the problem and bring healing to the world . You smearing his good name , you should be ashamed of yourself .

    • That’s too bad. Do you only support those who agree with you on every single issue 100%?

I think it’s “throwing the baby out with the bath water”. I don’t agree with Hedges on every issue either. And that goes for most of my writers here. But I generally learn something from them regardless of whether I agree with them or not. Sometimes it strengthens my opposition.

Please don’t be afraid of people with different viewpoints. It stifles one’s learning in life, in my opinion.

  7. The problem is, as Chris says, the financier “class” which I just call collectively, The Worthmores. The women who spend the money, the Missus Worthmores, are JUST as bad. They have more feeling for their (prestige) pets, than they do for their own children.

      • Rocket .. i met the Berrigans after the Pentagon march. WAY BACK. It inspired me SO much I worked for Mobilization Against the War here in Mpls for two years. They are Supremely wise, kind and the absolute perfect role models, imho. They just go on with it .. kindly.
