  1. He got 15 minutes to speak the truth on that show back in 1972. Can you freakin’ believe that? Think about how much things have changed. Nowadays, he’d be lucky to get three minutes.

When this kind of truth can only be heard from a dinky 10,000 watt college radio station in Portland, I think about how fascist this country has become. With Fox News, Limbaugh, Beck, Savage, Geller, et al, controlling the airwaves, I must concede… they have won the battle… actually, it was over when Ford pardoned Nixon and the country just wanted to leave the Sixties behind (thank you Charlie Manson, Altamont and the 1968 Chicago police force).

Soon, the nation would embrace such apolitical cultural gems as The Eagles, Three’s Company, Dallas …and disco. When John Lennon was assassinated barely two months before Reagan’s inauguration, the revolution was over. And though it could be another two or three generations before we gain control of the media again… we will be back.

    I guarantee you that.
