Ahmadinejad of Iran:
There is something about this man and his ability to render the Western media jargon irrelevant.
Politically correct spin and shallow fashionable psycho babble flows from Western media types and spin doctors like a sunami of s***.
Media and power brokers make certain behaviours , politics etc fashionable… then there can be only one voice, only one socially and politically acceptable treatment of a given politically correct issue. Words are controlled, speech is limited, stunted, and writing is censored or banned.
Sectors within media are well placed to present the “correct” version and to condemn any alternatives. The Iraq war is an excellent example of this control system.
This leader of Iran may have new intellectual resonances for all who suffer under the empty speeches of Western Politicians and the rule by propagation of eternal fear, fear of disease, fear of austerity, fear of terrorism, fear of anything which may distract and cause paralysis of free thought.
One word describes this Iranian mindset… refreshing.
Indeed. Quite a revealing exchange. Clearly gay rights are a difficult issue for him as a puritanical Moslem. It may perhaps surprise many of us to hear such denial, who may perceive homosexuality in many Arab countries to have been a widespread cultural norm in the past, albeit strenuously denied for that very reason. As he himself suggests, we should be free to research such matters impartially. As for Morgan’s dogmatic assertions about holocaust numbers, this is far from incontrovertibly established fact. The numbers themselves do not change the gravity and psychopathic horror of those events, but the deployment of an arbitrary number as a weapon of propaganda and a justification for further atrocity should be openly questioned and the assumption of its unassailable verity condemned as dogma and sceptically challenged, in any healthy society.
