  8. Pretty accurate summary, a helpful perspective although the context of the UN partition plan and its legitimacy under post-war mandate conditions needs to be examined very carefully for deeper understanding.
    The real issue for Zionist Israel is Islam; but an even bigger issue for Muslims is also Islam. What does it really mean?
    As the Chinese are reputed to have opined about the French Revolution, maybe it is too soon to draw any reliable conclusions. We might also usefully recall the sardonic wit of Gandhi when asked his opinion of “western civilization” & he is alleged to have riposted: I think it would be a good idea.
