“Ralph Nader: A Society That Has More Justice Is A Society That Needs Less Charity”
This is a point that I have tried to make to my ‘collectivist’ friends, who love big government because of the economic safety-net it provides.
Sort of like “candy in the glove compartment” line of a perv attempting to pick up a child…
Only a society that respects and abides by the principles of Liberty will be afforded the results of Justice that such freedom provides.

Well you do have to take what Ralph Nader said in context.
Suggesting that the “economic safety net” is like a child predator is ridiculous.
I don’t know any Socialists who want a big government. What they do want is worker controlled jobs. That is the economic justice that Nader speaks of.
The so-called ‘economic safety net’…who administrates it in a socialist society? Government.
I am all in favor of workers having control of their jobs. But that is not all there is to socialist agendas. I am not in favor of eliminating the economic safety net in one fell swoop.
I am in favor of elimination of the grip of Corporatism first and foremost. Elimination of the ponzi scheme called the Federal Reserve. Repudiation of the “national dept” – not default, that would be an official admission that the debt is valid in the first place.
If these things were accomplished very few would have the problems with poverty.
These things cannot be accomplished over night, and ‘austerity’ measures obviously deepen the problems. But robbing Peter to pay Paul doesn’t work either. Accepting the role of ‘victim’ does not fix anything either.
We are ‘Entitled’ to our natural rights, we are not entitled to being taken care of by a nanny state. If people understood MONEY, and the difference between the debt note, that is the Federal Reserve Note, and the Treasury Note that preceded it {redeemable in gold or silver coin} — then we would have an intelligent and responsible citizenry.
Now, one is either a ‘debt slave’, or on the dole, or a member of the elite. All three positions must be eliminated. And replaced by a free and knowledgeable citizenry…and dispense with daydreaming about some socialist Utopia.

We do have some things in common, such as the elimination of fascism (corporatism) as well as restoring our civil liberties. I even voted for Ron Paul in the presidential primary and Gary Johnson in the presidential election in 2012.
I have posted almost 600 posts on Socialism in the last 6 years.

hybrid , progressive constitutionalists and conservative constitutionalists have a lot in common . the dialogue between ron paul and ralph nader found on you tube is a good example of this .
Nader has built broad based coalitions with anti-tax conservatives to stop corporate welfare over the years and it has been very effective .
actually we all have more in common than what we think . and that scares the powers that be . this is why we must in my view cross the left/right divide and work together locally and nationally to change things .
On broad-based coalitions, see:
