Videos posted between 2008 and 2013 are not showing up because the coding used to embed the videos no longer work. Lockerz (who bought Vodpod) has shut down. I’m replacing the coding for videos posted in 2014 and also on the “must-see” list, but this takes a lot of time. If anyone has the time to look up the coding (Youtube url) and put that link in the comment section of the post, I’d appreciate it.
Videos from other sources, like Vimeo are still working. It’s mostly Youtube videos and Google videos (no longer available) that I need current Youtube urls.
Thanks for understanding.
Update: Mar. 27, 2014
Lockerz is now working and the videos are showing up with the old coding. I am still in the process of replacing the coding for videos posted in 2014 and those on the “must-see” list. Thank you, Jane for all your hours of help, and David and Dariel for your offer to help.
Of course, how long Lockerz works is anyone’s guess.

Well, I knew that this day would come to pass and Lockerz (vodpod) video coding would not be available. So, I will have to look up Youtube urls for the videos that are using the Lockerz (vodpod) coding and edit the posts.
Please let me know if you’d like to work as a volunteer looking up Youtube videos.
By the way, WordPress.com changed their editor (again) and this is NOT an improvement. They removed the scroll bar on the text box.
WordPress.com problems continue. Now in order to paste into the visual editor, one must use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V.
This will take forever.

WordPress.com “fixed” the paste function at least for pasting urls, so it’s much better than having to use the keyboard to paste.
However, WordPress.com changed the blog editor. Now there are 2 editors, the “new blue” one which barely functions with many technical problems including a very, very slow loading time. At the moment bloggers can still use the “old” editor (which I am using), but it’s not easy to find. One must open the “new blue” editor then click to use the “classic” editor, then repeat every time one clears their cookies.
Good news, the internal scroll bar can be reinstated if one chooses to do so (which I did).

Finished replacing missing videos for all of 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011. Yeah! On to 2010 now. Just under 3,000 blog posts left to do.
Thanks again to my helpers for looking up Youtube urls. It makes the editing go much more quickly.

Only 1490 blog posts to go. Thanks so much to Jesse for continuing to look up Youtube urls for Dandelion Salad.
On Dec. 10, 2014, WordPress.com changed to using https, so that means some videos from Daily Motion and Blip.TV will not work. The WP tech people are working on this issue. In the meantime, I will try to at least post the url to go directly to the video on Daily Motion and/or Blip.TV.

Daily Motion videos are (supposed to be) fixed starting Jan. 30, 2015. On Jan. 30, they were still not working.
