Papantonio is right. I reckon the US is in for a really big surprise, when everyone wakes up one morning to the blinding realisation that the entire country has been transformed, literally overnight, into an Asian colony.
Not possible? I beg to differ. What does neo-liberal free-marketing really mean? It means you can buy up anything, anyone else claims to own, like Africa or the Moon. So who owns Raytheon or GE or Boeing? The majority shareholders. In a free trade market world that means those who have the gold, control the assets. Once you own it all, it’s merely a matter of having enough magicians to keep the whole system running, and protect it from calamity…ha ha ha, like climate disintegration, monoculture collapse, tectonic disaster or ocean exhaustion.
Why on Earth would China fight an American war with reams of roboticised clones and lookalike destroyers when all they need to do is gain the controlling interest in the key components of the international war/food/extraction industries according to “Western” free trade principles?
Ridiculous you may protest, the Pentagon being run from Beijing? Why not! virtually every element of US security has already been privatised ~ and since everyone else has nuclear/biological capabilities anyway, the whole fragmented, antediluvian and superannuated contraption of “defense” is a lethal farce.
So, what distinguishes Israel’s Rafael ADS say, from similar US corporate activities? Clearly the difference is in the controlling interest.
