Abby Martin interviews journalist and author Max Blumenthal on the current situation in Palestine and the Israeli occupation. This episode covers what is behind today’s rebellion, the rising dominance of far-right, ultra-racist ideology in Israel, eye-witness accounts of the aftermath of the Gaza war, and the Israeli government’s fear of Palestinian resistance.
Max Blumenthal is an award-winning journalist and author of the New York Times Best Seller Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel, and the recently-published The 51 Day War: Ruin and Resistance in Gaza.

Pitiless times indeed, but pity will achieve nothing.
It is the moral responsibility of all of us who are both reliably informed and have certain experiential knowledge of the world, to exercise maximum leverage upon our governments, whether they are truly representative or merely tokenist.
If the latter it is our duty to call them to account by all means possible. If the former, to demand they exercise due legal process and initiate the implementation of coherent policies that will liberate mankind from its own worst errors.
Divest, disempower and sanction the criminals.
David, so great to hear from you again. Hope you’ve been well.

Thanks Lo, no I was simply alluding to it….I think this episode is utterly compelling. The grievous harm that mainstream propaganda does is to lull the public into obsequious quietude. We have to awaken ourselves (& others) to the real consequences of inaction.
I’ve been in France, & returned by ferry the day before Friday 13th but was not in Paris.
Oh my, David. Glad you are back safely. Hope you enjoyed your time in France, too.
I so agree with you about corporate media, which is why I continue to post on Dandelion Salad. I do think it’s getting better with more people turning to independent media on the net, but we still have a long way to go. I like talking to people one on one about the issues.
Palestine the victim of Capitalism at its worst.
