Some delegates walked off the floor of the DNC in protest. Democracy Now! was on the floor when protests began as retired four-star Marine General John Allen took the stage.

At least two protesters were arrested outside Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Centre on the final day of the Democratic National Convention, Thursday, as scores of demonstrators railed against the victory of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Supporters of Bernie Sanders held banners reading “Bernie or bust” and denounced Clinton by chanting slogans. Commenting on the result of the nomination, one protester said, “There is absolutely no unity at all. They are pretending to be united with us and they are lying.”

Friday they will make a human bar graph that dramatically illustrates the gaps in society regarding wealth, voting rights, health care, citizenship, and housing. We are joined by Sister Simone Campbell, the leader of Nuns on the Bus as well as a lawyer and poet, and a Sister of Social Service and Executive Director of NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice.
