A superb conversation, invaluable. I found the first part especially instructive and coherent.
The United States is terrified of itself ~ with good reason. Goethe’s parable/poem of the sorcerer’s apprentice evokes the existential dilemma of this “national security machinery” J P describes so well.
The coalition ‘NATO’ logic of offensive deployment belies the facts of strategic intelligence. The radical dynamic principle that may express flexible stability and global resilience most adequately, in our deeply complex, metaphysically misconceived and fragile world, is ‘scale-free’ biomimicry. This is an evolving picture, and when we scan the literature, it is predominately Chinese researchers who excel at the mathematical modelling.
The US relies on brutally dominant reductionist exclusion, vulgar prejudice, manipulative corruption, covert insinuation, multiple simultaneous disinformation narratives, double-blind black ops, outsourced torture, extradition, confinement, bribery, threats, theft of indigenous lands & appropriation for toxic agribusiness, monetary and child-sex blackmail, full-spectrum surveillance, overwhelming ‘air-power,’ and universally deployed multimedia propaganda. It is indeed a colossally incestuous black lodge when read this way.
Everyone has a price and everything is a commodity in this US plutocratic hell-fire galaxy.
The upside is that there are countless institutions, scientists, social networks, business leaders, start-ups, artists, ecologists and individuals working honestly and resourcefully to improve things.
Machines do not have free will, they must be programmed to function.
