Filmmaker Regis Tremblay states what few others dare to say. Humanity is on the brink of extinction! Nuclear power is not safe. 48 of America’s nuclear power plants are leaking and there is no way to get rid of nuclear waste. America’s reckless provocations of both Russia and China, two nuclear-armed countries, risk a nuclear holocaust from which no one survives. Climate change and global warming, if not mitigated immediately, will end the human experiment on earth sooner rather than later.

A shocking documentary that traces the origins of U.S. genocides, military interventions and wars from the 15th century when the white, colonial explorers first came to the Americas to the very present. American Exceptionalism, Manifest Destiny, and the right to claim the earth and its resources as their own are the beliefs that are the foundation of American foreign policy in the 21st Century that has humanity on the brink of extinction.

Dr. Helen Caldicot, Ray McGovern, Chris Hedges, Ann Wright, Peter Kusnick, Bill McKibben, David Vine and other activists, scholars, and authors explain and clarify the crisis and
threats to life on the planet.

The only real hope lies in the result of the epic battle for humanity’s survival between two contrasting world views. On one side is the unipolar, capitalist world-domination by the U.S. enforced by the most lethal military the world has ever seen. On the other side is a view held by Russia, China and the BRICS nations built on a multi-polar world based on respect, the sovereignty of all nations, international law, the equal value of all people, and cooperation.

So here we are. Humanity’s epic battle for survival. An old paradigm based on white, colonial domination and empire versus the shared vision of others who are working for a peaceful world based on justice, international law and the prosperity of all people.

The only question is, will the crazed neocons in Washington, realizing they have lost, take the whole world down with them.

  6. I have a wee bit of a correction in your statement about Columbus discovering the Americas. It seems to be rather symbolic of the insular thinking in your education system. Chris was NOT the first to hit the American shoreline. It was a few guys with those horned helmets from the Norwegian/Swedish region and they discovered the eastern most province of Canada, the island of Newfoundland. They did this about 400-500 years before Chris got the financing to buy his 3 ships, and the evidence is known to every archaeologist at the northern tip of the island in our national park there.
I know that this particular bit of information is miniscule compared to the awesome threats we face now, but it’s information like this, and much more, that colours everything I read, hear and see about the U.S. Now I must get back to watching the video.

    • Thanks, John, I agree with you. However, it didn’t say that White Europeans were the first to “discover” the Americas, it just stated the date of their arrival, 1492.

  10. Our extinction in the near future is a pressing nightmare. I do not think the Trump team in Washington is unaware of this. Many are saying that population is the biggest problem; maybe they are planning to remedy this, who knows. I was reading several different books and became concerned about the fossil fuel companies coming to grips with their part in this. They need the continuation of drilling and extraction of oil to stay afloat financially; as their value is based on future extractions. The fact that they have known about climate change due to increase in carbon dioxide for at least a half a century makes them responsible for this horrible nightmare we are now facing. Our politicians are also a big part of this, as we well know. There have been some great advances in technology that have allowed the oil companies to “see” under the Arctic to find oil reserves. One of these is the discovery that Tesla made about low frequency waves. Haarp. Exxonmobile has been using Haarp to discover oil under the Arctic. Maybe their scientist have discovered other uses for this technology. Most all of the Trump team has ties to oil, this cannot be a coincidence.

    • Connie, of course the facts actually belie the obsolete economics that Trump’s favorites are peddling; renewable energy is now outperforming oil, nuclear, coal and gas ~ dollar for dollar! So they can’t be very bright business people, if they haven’t even got the data straight.

Their idea seems to be ~ we’ll just ‘keep (stupid) people in work’ to appease our constituency by sticking to the old, familiar, redundant, but ‘easiest’ (for us) extractive options. Pretty dumb! This type of thinking will drag the US down further. So Trump is really not that bright. He listens to idiots. I doubt he even knows what a plausible scientific method really consists of…let alone what the implications might actually be for the future prosperity of the nation.

He should invite Amory Lovins and Lester Brown to the Oval office to advise him, even talk to Naomi Klein and a few Bioneers!

  11. Forget about ‘2050’ we’ve already passed the point where meaningful change can arrest the slow-motion apocalypse we are witnessing unfold as we comment here.

We are in a full-blown international emergency of vast scale. Vacuous, ill-informed, careerist political experts are powerless to do anything significant, unless and until the entire apparatus of government and institutional order, world-wide, including the corporate universe ~ that is say everyone who is capable of lucid comprehension ~ accepts the fact that this cannot be dealt with piece-meal, or in a half-hearted, half-brained partisan or nationalistic way .

We have a gigantic problem, and we shall need the full co-operative capacity of the internet to even begin to tackle this massive biospheric crisis. Not only habitat destruction, ecocidal land damage and the subsequent migratory catastrophes that are remaking the histories and boundaries of Europe, Africa and the Middle-east….but our exponentially irradiated oceans ~ all the seas in fact, because it is one planetary system….are just the beginning to arrive now in one huge combined tsunami of concern.

Plastic waste is contributing a hideously excoriating dimension to an already intractable situation. If you doubt my word, watch this film wherever or whenever you can, it will change the way you think ~ I guarantee it http://www.ecowatch.com/4-year-global-journey-ends-in-must-see-documentary-a-plastic-ocean-1882167554.html

This is a global, indeed cosmic moment that is not going to pass away. It is here and now, and will worsen by the day until we face up to it. The cringing hypocrisies of the Obamas of this world are despicable vanities that should be dismissed with the contempt they deserve, We need real, enlightened and co-ordinated leadership, not limp-wristed, exceptionalist posturing.

We’ve had more than enough creed and greed ~ for those are the very errors that have brought about this ghastly nightmare, that is the depraved outcome of spiritual ignorance and biophobic terror.

Inspired determination, intelligent resourcefulness and courage are the qualities that will put the urgent solutions to work, that must transcend perceived difference….and restore stewardship & sanity. We are capable of this ~ we have no choice.

  12. Unfortunately, regardless of the nuclear factor, climate change will result in human extiction in the very near turn. Recent predictions of an 8 to 10 C rise in global average temperatures by 2026 means that human extinction will occur before that. In fact a recent article by Dr. Guy McPherson, a Professor Emeritus of Natural Resources and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona, and an expert on Human Extinction, indicates that human extinction will occur within the next three years:

  13. Send this movie to Donald Trump.
Will he get it or still deny?
According to him no global warming.
And going on with that pipeline from Canada.
Again fighting the Indians for their rights not to contaminate their water.
Giving Crimea back what a joke.
    And on and on

  14. In my opinion, the author’s view of the multipolar world vision of Russia and China is misplaced.

I accept the fact that Pres. Putin has urged the recognition of a multipolar world since his Munich speech of 2007. His vision of a multipolar world, I submit, is not one of mutual respect, cooperation, and global harmony under international law. I see the multipolar world that he, Pres. Xi Jinping of China, and even Henry Kissinger embrace is the multipolar world that operates like the Mafia Commission model, where there is no Capo di Tutti Capi (unipolar vision), but a Commission of Dons who organize business, adjudicate disputes, and maintain order.

Will there be wars? Yes, of course. Just as Pres. Jefferson advocated wars once every generation to fertilize the tree of liberty with tyrants’ blood, so there shall be wars even under the Mafia Commission multipolar world because, as Caporegime Peter Clemenza taught Michael Corleone in The Godfather, “It helps to get rid of the bad blood.”
