On September 16-17 a major national gathering was held in Washington, D.C. called the People’s Congress of Resistance, a broad and diverse coalition of organizers and community leaders formed to build the class-struggle wing of the anti-Trump movement.
Abby Martin was there to share the voices that are silenced by both the Democratic Party and the mass media, and to ask participants about fear and resistance in the Trump era.

I’d like to see this being translated into Spanish as people speak. It’s great to see so many women involved: Yamina Mrabet, Peta Lindsay, Jodi Dean, Margaret Flowers, Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, Gloria La Riva, Linda Oalican, Lucy Felix, Karina Garcia, Jang Jinsook.
I googled images for everyone listed in an article on the website for the Inaugural People’s Congress, women and men, and was so heartened by what I saw. These are the people of the United States who I admire, support, and want to encourage, not the establishment… not the millionaires of Congress… not the people who think that “the military should be murdering and killing around the world.”
It’s great to hear about the tide of reaction sweeping the country
So glad you enjoyed this, too, peacevisionary.
