Just listened to this radio broadcast today ~ a historical narrative that adds some worthwhile context.

Nothing comes from nothing. Bravo to Mohammad Saba’aneh
Personally, as a strong advocate for Palestinian self-determination ~ by whatever formulae may be most effective ~ I think the Trump declaration will accelerate necessary change, but not in any way that he or the ‘fascistic’ Netanyahu intend.
The President is said to guzzle Pepsi all day, so he’s more or less in the Reagan jelly-baby league; & absurdly, also an oafish devotee of the English schoolboy ostentatious-tie-club ~ so not exactly “a man of wealth and taste” in the manner the Rolling Stones attributed to their eponymous devil, & so deserving of our sympathy.
I find it difficult to summon an iota of tolerance for this vulgarian, traumatised (?) CAFO narcissist. He may have a fistful of money to brag about, but very little real wealth and certainly no taste. This tragic beggars’ banquet definitely needs to be magically transformed into a “feast for all.”
Of course, as Chris Hedges and so many others have made clear, the US empire is lethally toxic and doomed…to end it seems more swiftly than even Johan Galtung had predicted. This latest obscenity only greases the slipway skids. It is (high) time to launch the next Republic my friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRYZjOuUnlU
Thanks for your comments and additional info, David.
