Part 1: The Russia “National Security Crisis” is a U.S. Creation

TheRealNews on Jul 19, 2018

President Trump’s warm words for Vladimir Putin and his failure to endorse U.S. intelligence community claims about alleged Russian meddling have been called “treasonous” and the cause of a “national security crisis.” There is a crisis, says Prof. Stephen F. Cohen, but one of our own making.

There is much to criticize the Russian president for, says Professor Stephen F. Cohen of Princeton and NYU, but many US political and media claims about Putin are false – and reckless.

  13. I like Stephen Cohen. He is sensible, scholarly and mature. That Democracy Now clip was taken out of its much broader context ~ a long exchange between Joe Cirincione and Glenn Greenwald; well worth hearing by the way, as Glenn G’s fluent response was entirely apt and proportionate.

I’ve just listened to a rather bellicose Steve Bannon on the Helsinki meeting. All very “interesting.” I don’t agree with him, but his reactionary (Opus Dei, according to Paul Jay) personality and political psychology need to be carefully understood…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G70NhmvufRM

Paul Jay is very astute in my estimation.

So far as Crimea being essentially Russian is concerned, that’s a (strategic) no-brainer in my opinion. So even Kissinger can be right about some things!

Parasitical capitalism, decay, climate….exactly. Where is the authentic vision….creative “intelligence?” I mean we’re talking about the destiny of all Earth-life. “DNI” Mr Coats seems like a cock-eyed paranoiac, not a genuinely wise homo saps…..! Woe is me, don’t we deserve something better?
