America: The Farewell Tour — A Conversation with Chris Hedges
Interview by John Shuck, Progressive Spirit
August 28, 2018
“In his latest book, America: The Farewell Tour, Chris Hedges shows how the effects of America’s decline and decay affects its citizenry. As America sinks further into poverty and despotism, and as corporations and the military-industrial-media complex pirate the remaining assets of a nation that has lost its industry save weapons manufacturing, human beings suffer from gambling addiction, hatred, and violence in the streets. Hedges announces a spiritual call to resist.”

His factual repertoire is immense and impressive; I just listened to the Poetry and Prose talk, that is excellent.
Surely, if the US survives the next cataclysm, whatever it turns out to be and exactly when, wouldn’t Chris Hedges be an invaluable asset, as an independent/Green in Congress; or has he categorically ruled out any direct involvement in the political process ~ because it would limit his freedom of expression and action as a committed dissident?
Thanks for listening, David.
It would surprise me greatly if Hedges were to run as a candidate for any position.
