I was expected to read Anthem in high school and I couldn’t get through it.

Rand is largely to blame for enabling the unrestrained rampant greed and selfishness that is literally threatening to destroy all life on earth.
Human beings are social animals. We thrive in communities when we work together for the common good. We are healthier, happier, more productive and better human beings when our work has real value and meaning.
Neo-liberalism is killing us. It is contrary to our human nature and it is destroying our Mother Nature
Capitalism is a failure.
I wonder how long it will take us to realize that and consider and act on effective alternatives.
Or is it already too late…
I didn’t read her book after the first few pages revealed emotions overriding wisdom and intelligence.
The spiritual and creative vacuum that many people feel is a longing for fulfilment or purpose.
Greed and its ilk rush in and try to fill that vacuum.
A spiritual (non religious) and creative Life, along with Love of course, results in a state of equanimity.
