Politicians of all political persuasions feather their nests when in government and every feather is soaked in blood.
If they could feel shame or guilt they would choke on it.
Thank you! Few remember how Izzy was on to the powerful. I recall him saying to a reporter just after Reagan got elected (which was about the time he packed up his journal):
“Mr Reagan thinks he is going to improve things in this country by unleashing Greed”.
