Recently, U.S. prosecutors indicted WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange on seventeen espionage charges stemming from the disclosure of atrocities committed by the U.S. armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. With global consequences directly affecting the freedom of the press, Assange stands to be extradited from the UK to trial to the U.S. under the Espionage Act. In this upcoming online event, author and activist, Miko Peled, speaks with three prominent activists who have persistently advocated for Assange’s release and freedom.
Roger Waters – Cofounder of Pink Floyd, Songwriter & Musician, Activist
John Pilger – Journalist, Documentary Filmmaker
Ray McGovern – Ex-CIA Presidential Briefer, Writer, Activist
Miko Peled – Author, Speaker, Human Rights Activist

Thank you so much Lo for posting this, I shared it yesterday on fb with the following comment: “… it is a highly commendable, coherent summary of the situation, not pulling any punches; the facts are so important it is virtually impossible to overstate the gravity of this corrupt establishment stitch-up. The evidence is incontrovertible and speaks for itself, however outrageous and embarrassing it may be for the vested interests whose persistent deceits and make-believe have been exposed. The root of the issue is what actually constitutes “state security,” and exactly who gets to determine what is a manifestly demonstrable war-crime and why. Wikileaks published thoroughly incriminating evidence, that cannot be denied because it is verbatim and authentic. The collateral murder video is only one especially salient example of a huge disinformation catalogue of brutal, hubristic and relentless error. So this is not a matter of opinion nor vapid insinuation; we are dealing with incontrovertible & deeply uncomfortable facts. US ‘foreign policy’ processes and protocols have been thoroughly exposed. They are responsible for their own undoing; this is not masked Russian ‘interference.’ These are truths and facts that have not been invented or fantasized. What is done cannot be undone; it is about savage US revenge ~ recrimination, post facto. They cannot undo what is now public knowledge, so they are railroading our due process and abusing the UK court system. These are utterly disgraceful and fatal tactics; the repurcussions will be immense….”
Thanks for sharing it, David, and for your comment. Hope you’ve been well.
