Thank you Lo! Another peerless interview; one of so many excellent and memorable conversations. It is immensely regettable that Chris Hedges is still reliant upon RT America for a platform. The fact that he is persona non grata on mainstream US media speaks ugly volumes. Were it not for Robert Scheer’s superb and timely ‘SCHEERPOST’ it would be hard to find authoritative in depth historical analysis of this quality and scholarly standard elsewehere.
The Devil’s Chessboard is indeed an admirable and apt title for David Talbot’s indispensable book now entering its sixth post-publication year. Together with Stephen Kinzer’s revelatory ‘Poisoner in Chief’ it amplified urgently needed critical light, now steadily illuminating those acutely sinister and abysmal psychosocial dungeons that best characterise the exponential corruption that has shaped American post-WW2 mental and moral depravity.
So, where do we go from here? I highly recommend Chris Hedges’ latest column in SCHEERPOST “The Evil Within Us.” ~ brilliant writing. Don’t let anyone convince you the US is already a rotting corpse floating in toxic waters. We ain’t seen nothin’ yet…..Black Elk’s vision is still a living testament to the consciousness of a future we have yet to create and fully realise ~ https://www.context.org/iclib/ic40/blackelk/
