A Berber group, known as the Tuaregs, have recently been instrumental in the overthrow of President Amadou Toumani Toure of Mali. Some of these Tuaregs are returning veterans, that had fought for Qaddafi in the Libyan military theater. Much like the Kurds of the Levant, Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria the Tuaregs/Berbers have had long-held, and enduring nationalist aspirations for an independent, autonomous and self-determining country. Although, some are indeed purported to be Islamist-linked, and indeed card-carrying members of the AQIM (Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb). The Tuaregs/Berbers are associated with a number of names/classifications, and may be called by the appellations of the Amazighs, the Kabyle or the Riffs also.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has acknowledged that Al Qaeda and other organizations on the US “terror list” are supporting the Syrian opposition.

Clinton said: “We have a very dangerous set of actors in the region, al-Qaida [sic], Hamas, and those who are on our terrorist list, to be sure, supporting – claiming to support the opposition [in Syria].” [1]

Not much reported in the MSM was that Bolivia, Belarus, Ecuador, Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Zimbabwe, the DPRK, and Cuba, joined with Russia and China in voting down on the Saudi penned UN General Assembly resolution. The MSM seems to be attempting at a worldwide brainwashing job into getting everyone into thinking that — only tinfoil hat wearers plus Russia and China would be so foolhardy — as to oppose the GCC, NATO, the Arab League, and the illustrious and all-powerful West, aka the “international community”. And as their typical one-sided reporting effort has, no doubt, cowed many otherwise good, innocent, and well-meaning people into believing.

Thanks to the “help” of the US and NATO, and their Islamist proxy butchers of Libya, the African Sahel is now potentially facing a “slide into hell”. Libya is, of course, facing its own disharmony, but its Sahelian neighbors are facing a host of problems too. Like Qaddafi was many of the countries of the Sahel, are fighting their own Al-Qaeda/Islamist elements as well. And many of the governments of this region have suggested that the Libyan disarray/chaos, handed Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb — a golden opportunity — to obtain looted arms, guns and a variety of other deadly munitions too.

Behind a mysterious December 22 Associated Press story about “finding of fact” by a District judge in Manhattan Friday that Iran assisted al Qaeda in the planning of the 9/11 attacks is a tapestry of recycled fabrications and distortions of fact from a bizarre cast of characters.

The AP story offers no indication of the nature of the evidence in the case except that former members of the 9/11 Commission and three Iranian defectors provided testimony.
