Consumer advocate Ralph Nader appears on Bill O’Reilly’s TV show to discuss the Fort Hood shooting, and wastes no time in belittling him.”I wasn’t brought on this program to discuss Fort Hood, I want to plug my book,” Nader admits. Then he proceeds to tell Bill: “Unlike you, I can chew gum and walk at the same time.”O’Reilly then accuses Nader of dodging issues. Nader gets Bill to admit, “I was wrong about Iraq.”

This is my tribute to Bill O’Reilly.

Most of you are aware, and most likely have been for a while, that under the guise of “news” Fox has offered its viewers a steady stream of bias pertaining to social and political issues since its inception in 1996. From attacking Black America to pushing for war with Iran, from demonizing bloggers to distorting environmental issues, theirs is quite a record of achievement in propagating propaganda that is neither fair nor balanced.
Today we have a surprise (well at least it surprised all of us at Brave New Films). Thanks to the terrific work of the News Hounds, we bring you Fox and ole’ Billy O’Reilly attacking decency. Yes, you read that right. The self-righteous, pompous, bloviators who deign to lecture on how we should behave in our personal lives, are in fact exploiting women, pandering to the lowest common denominator and pushing smut out on the airwaves on a daily basis!
And this will definitely raise your hackles. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THIS! Yes, you read that right too. So watch the video and pass it along to as many on your email list as possible. We simply must let the FCC know we are mad as hell about having their smut in our homes and as being forced to pay for it. And we’re simply not going to take it anymore.
Keith is back. Remember the recent Osama bin Forgotten tape that was released and played on the airwaves? Sure you do. What you may not have known is that intelligence agencies acquired the tape even before it was released by Al Qaida operatives.
“Al Qaeda’s Internet communications system has suddenly gone dark to American intelligence after the leak of Osama bin Laden’s September 11 speech inadvertently disclosed the fact that we had penetrated the enemy’s system.
The intelligence blunder started with what appeared at the time as an American intelligence victory, namely that the federal government had intercepted, a full four days before it was to be aired, a video of Osama bin Laden’s first appearance in three years in a video address marking the sixth anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001.”
And why was this tape released to the media early? Well, first and foremost it was released to help that good old Republican cohort, the Fox Noise Channel. I guess keeping the ratings of a Republican propaganda network up is more important than months of work opening up backdoor portholes to Al Qaeda is. Yep, when Al Qaida found out that we had the vid they quickly shut down those openings. Keith gives a full report.
Wrapping up the leaked Osama Bin Forgotten tape segment, terrorism analyst Evan Kohlman joins Keith to discuss how difficult it is to open and maintain these loopholes into Al Qaida’s distribution system, and the damage caused by leaking the video.
Rudy G is booed at Yankee. Chris Matthews horns in on Keith’s show to discuss and to add his two cents worth on that incident and tonight’s Republican Debate in Michigan with Fred Thompson’s first debate appearance.

But like Keith’s guest, Bruce Fein says, it doesn’t matter what law Congress passes because Bush isn’t going to obey any of them and they won’t do a damn thing about it.
The jurors in the British Inquest version of the probe into Diana’s death goes to a swanky hotel. Is Tom Cruise’s new movie being filmed in Germany cursed? The latest in a series of mishaps. Nick Nolte becomes a father at age 66.
Worst Persons: Bronze to the despicable Robert Novak, the Silver to the more despicable Rush Limbaugh and friends who are now attacking a twelve year old kid because when you’ve attacked veterans, and when you’ve attacked someone with Parkinsons disease, you and your party just have to show to what depths of inhumanity you can sink to. And somehow Billo manages to top that. Remember Billo talking about all the fun Shawn Hornbeck was having by being kidnapped? Sure you do. In testimony, the kidnapper said he was ready to strangle Hornbeck and only spared him so that he could make him his sex slave. Billo of course has never apologized for that remark.
In tonight’s final segment, dancing with the star, or in this case dancing with an animated Idaho Hall of Famer, Larry Craig.
In Keith Olbermann’s opening segment the first State Dept. report on the shooting of Iraq civilian by Blackwater employees was written by…..a Blackwater employee. The FBI agents who were supposed to investigate Blackwater were supposed to be protected by none other than…Blackwater. That has been called off. Of course, a Republican says we should just call off the investigation and let Blackwater be on it’s way.
Keith interviews Presidential Candidate John Edwards, who says we should get rid of the private contractors like Blackwater. And the best way to do that is to get our troops out of Iraq.
This segment starts rather abruptly as you will see. This was caused by a commercial that ran long. I hate it when that happens, don’t you? At any rate, this has to do whether the new Attorney General will be more cooperative than the old one. You remember Fredo don’t you? Dana Milbank guests.
Another Republican decides to retire rather than face the music.

More on Rush Limbaugh trying to cover up his “phony soldier” comments. He then called a soldier who did the Vote Vets Ad (you can see it on my blog at http://www.clydestuff.blogspot.com) a “Suicide Bomber.” And instead of just owning up to it and admitting to what he said, Rush Limpbutt doctored and edited the tapes from the program to make it appear he didn’t quite say it the way he meant it.
In fact, the soldier that Rush Limbaugh called a phony soldier and suicide bomber, was seriously injured by a real suicide bomber. The fact that there are people in this country out there defending Rush Lardass tells you how far this country has sunk into a state where all politics trump decency. Keith interviews retired Army Staff Sgt. Brian Mcgough. As far as I’m concerned, anybody who supports Rush Lardass has totally lost their moral compass.

Keith gives his report on the recent flap over Rush Limbaugh and his comments that anyone who served in Iraq and speaks out against it is a phony soldier and how he tried to back peddle and edit his own comments to his listeners. Rachel Maddow weighs in.
The Blackwater hearings began today with founder Erik Prince saying his firm acted appropriately at all times. Jeremy Scahill weighs in on what Blackwater has really been doing in Iraq.
Lawmakers are introducing legislation that would require the administration to pay for the war through a sur tax instead of passing the debt along to future generations. Howard Fineman weighs in.
