NATO Does Not Declare U.S. War, Determine U.S. Policy

As Congress sits poised to consider H. Con. Res. 51, Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s (D-OH) bill to end the war in Libya, Kucinich today sent the following letter to Members of Congress:

Dear Colleague:

Yesterday, NATO announced it would continue combat operations in Libya for at least another 90 days. NATO. The President went to NATO on Libya, not the U.S. Congress, as the Constitution requires.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today made the following statement after his resolution, H. Con. Res. 51, to end the war in Libya was pulled from the Floor calendar and postponed:

“I am disappointed that the President and leadership feel the need to buy even more time to shore up support for the War in Libya. It’s not surprising that some are now wondering if a preliminary vote count on my resolution came out in favor of defending the Constitution.

America is not dead because others have lost their belief in the Constitution; the Constitution is alive because it lives in you. Regardless of how or why our leaders sometimes lose their way, some Americans remain true to their ideals. As long as there is one or two of us who believe in the rule of law, justice lives. Some citizens have forgotten their ideals and their aspirations but many have not.

During a wide-ranging interview prior to taking the stage at the Tea Party Patriots American Policy Summit in Phoenix this week, likely presidential candidate Ron Paul stated he “encouraged a write-in vote” as a protest against the existing corrupt “single party system” consisting of Democrats and Republicans. Responding to questions from Voters Evolt, Texas Congressman Paul said he would not “discourage” any votes cast for him. However, fearing it would “glorify the majority,” Paul did not favor a National Policy Referendum.

This is the thirteenth installment of a project that is likely to extend over a two-year-period from January, 2010.  It is the serialization of a book entitled The 15% Solution: A Political History of American Fascism, 2001-2022.  In this chapter the future fascist government repeals the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the Constitution.  Sound familiar?  Well, under the pseudonym Jonathan Westminster, while it is purportedly published in the year 2048 on the 25th Anniversary of the Restoration of Constitutional Democracy in the Re-United States, based on then-GOP/Right/Christian Right sources, it was actually published in 1996 by the Thomas Jefferson Press, located in Port Jefferson, NY.  The copyright is held by the Press.  Herein you will find Chapter 12.

Today, (Feb 16, 2011) the Senate approved an extension of the treasonous USA PATRIOT ACT, following the lead of the House of Representatives.

The USA PATRIOT ACT, commonly called “the Patriot Act,” is an acronym contrived to make something that is completely tyrannical and fascist sound appealing. The USA PATRIOT ACT stands for: Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act.

This is the twelfth installment of a project that is likely to extend over a two-year-period from January, 2010.  It is the serialization of a book entitled The 15% Solution: A Political History of American Fascism, 2001-2022.  Herein you will find Chapter 11.  This chapter presents the “Proclamation of Right,” decreed by President Jefferson Davis Hague of the American Christian Nation Party, presented to the nation on Easter Sunday, 2009.  An earlier Constitutional Amendment has already established that homosexuality is a matter of choice.  Hague’s decree established it as a crime.

Resilient Founding Fathers with Propensity for Resistance among One Million+ Terror Watch List Suspects!

In May 2009 the Inspector General of the Justice Department found that 35% of the nominations to the Department of Homeland Security’s Terror Watch Lists were outdated, many people were not removed in a timely manner, and tens of thousands of names were placed on the list without predicate. A September 2009 report by the Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security found that the process for clearing innocent travelers from the list is a complete mess. Although significant, both reports failed to mention their findings on the number of names of already-dead US citizens who seem to be stuck there permanently. Even more significantly, it’s been reported that the TSA Terror Watch List includes the names of Long-Dead but well-known and well-respected US citizens, including several members of a group collectively known as the Founding Fathers of the United States. So far, based on our former and current TSA sources, we have been able to confirm the inclusion of two such long-dead persons on at least one DHS-TSA joint Terror Watch List: Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin.

In recent days the idea of using the Article V convention option in the Constitution received support in an article by Texas US Senator John Cornyn published on the Fox News website.  He noted “Recent polling suggests that a plurality of Americans support a convention to propose a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution if Congress will not do so.”  He made a good case for using the convention option by saying it “would be part of a national conversation that could last well beyond one or two election cycles. The very length of the convention and ratification process would allow the American people ample opportunity to judge proposed reforms, and ensure that they would strengthen the checks and balances that have served our nation well.”

On her August 9 show on MSNBC Rachel Maddow went for an easy attack on those seeking government reforms through constitutional amendments but also missed a big opportunity to inform and educate her audience and millions more Americans.

She ridiculed those, especially Republican candidates and congressmen, making a big point of using constitutional amendments as a way to build public support for themselves.  Her basic point was that amending the constitution is really, really hard.  It is so difficult that the public should not take this political rhetoric very seriously as a practical way to change law.
