Occupy Washington DC protesters were pepper sprayed at a protest at the National Air and Space Museum.

The protest was targeted against the museum’s celebration of the use of Drones, which have been used to kill scores of innocent civilians. The protest was successful, with a SWAT policeman turning away tourists, saying the museum was shut down.

Iranian envoy: CIA involved in Neda’s shooting?

MEXICO CITY, Mexico (CNN) — The United States may have been behind the killing of Neda Agha-Soltan, the 26-year-old Iranian woman whose fatal videotaped shooting Saturday made her a symbol of opposition to the June 12 presidential election results, the country’s ambassador to Mexico said Thursday.

“This death of Neda is very suspicious,” Ambassador Mohammad Hassan Ghadiri said. “My question is, how is it that this Miss Neda is shot from behind, got shot in front of several cameras, and is shot in an area where no significant demonstration was behind held?”

He suggested that the CIA or another intelligence service may have been responsible.

“Well, if the CIA wants to kill some people and attribute that to the government elements, then choosing women is an appropriate choice, because the death of a woman draws more sympathy,” Ghadiri said.

In response, CIA spokesman George Little said, “Any suggestion that the CIA was responsible for the death of this young woman is wrong, absurd and offensive.”

Though the video appeared to show that she had been shot in the chest, Ghadiri said that the bullet was found in her head and that it was not of a type used in Iran.

QUESTION FOR THE COMMENTS below …. an itch you must scratch – http://operationitch.wordpress.com/th…

1.Have the events of this week changed who you plan to vote for?

2. Neither candidate cares about the details of the bailout any more than it can help or hurt their campaign. Did Obama get played as bad as I think he did this week?

3. Why are the Democrats so eager to lap up whatever Bush throws at them?

4. Whatcha doin this weekend? I got me a family gathering.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich

Kucinich Announces Plan for Ownership Society

Congressman Dennis Kucinich D-OH today made the following statement announcing a plan for a new Ownership Society:

“The Wall Street financial disaster is an opportunity to create a genuine ownership society. If Congress invests $700 billion in the market, then the American people must get something of real value for their investment.

“Simply purchasing bad debt, “cash for trash” and not receiving anything of value or giving $700 billion and not having a commensurate equity interest in Wall Street firms is unacceptable. No “cash for trash”.

“Since the bailout will cost each and every American about $2,300, tomorrow I will offer legislation to create a United States Mutual Trust Fund, which will take control of $700 billion in stock assets, at market value and not higher, convert those assets to shares, and distribute $2,300 worth of shares to new individual savings accounts in the name of each and every American.”

Kucinich arrived at the $2,300 figure by dividing the cost of the bailout $700 billion by the US population over 300 million.
