This is me on my soap box to people who want to Christianize government. I’m all about calling down the darkness and rolling over it with the kingdom of God. How did Christ defeat the kingdoms of this world? It’s very powerful and deep when you understand it. He built his kingdom by laying his life down for us instead of taking it up. He was showing us what his kingdom looks like and how it’s different than this world. It was upside down to them but in the Book of Acts the church was starting to turn it right side up. That doesn’t mean we’re sitting idly by just letting the world walk on us. What I believe it means we take a stand for life calling out that which is taking it. Showing people our love for what’s created in God’s image and likeness. We will win their souls in the process.

Before I say anything I have to say, I’ve never been as free on the inside as I am now. Once I understood some things and let go of materialism I realized where freedom lies. Not that I was caught up with things or it’s wrong to have them but I had to see past it. It opened up a part of me that seemed turned off. I began to see the Human side of me that was disconnected. Please don’t take that the wrong way, it’s the only way I can describe it. And maybe it’s just for me and you’ve already been there.

I believe if we’re not self-aware, we can take on the values of the political and economical system as our own. If so we end up treating each other through that filter. We think we’ve gained individual liberties but it’s been at the expense of disconnecting ourselves from being one with each other, and nature. Rather than going with the stream of life we’re going against the current. The Earth has a frequency and we should be in tune with it. This is speculation but I really wonder if the technology we have today is throwing our frequency off. Regardless, rather than using technology to help liberate people it has been used to enslave us further by exploiting us along the way.

Who Would Jesus Bomb?

Image by Dandelion Salad via Flickr

Most biblical scholars today trace what we see going on here in the states as well as the history of Christianity since the fourth century to the days of Constantine in 313 AD when he made the state religion Christianity. That’s considered to be the beginning of the subversion of Christianity. At that point Jesus and what He taught was replaced with an old covenant mentality to fit the needs of those in power to rule and dominate in order to further their political agenda. It was to justify their actions knowing they would receive no reproach because they knew people wouldn’t question God due to fear and it would be a sin to them. Continue reading

I believe the problem is it’s just very difficult for some people to grasp the concept that there is only one race and that is the human race. I think our battle with the powers that be which is in the hands of a few multinational corporations and banks would be much easier to overcome if we could just get over loving a nation more than loving people.

Who Would Jesus Bomb?

Image by Dandelion Salad via Flickr

I really do care about the direction this country is heading and the way the church is trying to fix it.

These are just some thoughts to think on and issues that should be of concern to us as believers when dealing with a world that is rapidly growing with a scientific mentality denying all things pertaining to God while the church continues preaching to the choir, especially in the self help department. I don’t see the methods of Jesus’ teachings being applied in the religious right’s mentality. I think in many ways it is doing more damage than good and the blowback it could cause is making Jesus look like something He is not.  Continue reading

Sometimes to know what love is you got to know what it’s not.

A conspiracy is just the label they use to cover up truth in order to maintain the delusional mentality of reality but with half-truths, which are whole lies, sold to us by the powers that be by being embedded with the media. They work together to sell us a bunch of propaganda filled with lies to deceive and control the masses in order to justify war, to push and sell capitalistic propaganda for the love of money Continue reading

Here is what people say, “The flag represents freedoms that countless Americans have fought and died to defend”. My question is, really? I thought they were fighting for the rich elite and just didn’t know it. If you look at history, in most cases all you will see are freedoms being taken away. So when people say, “Americans have fought and died to defend freedom” does that make much sense, or am I missing something?

A Letter to the Church by Shawn Grandstaff

With all the political rhetoric that we hear today and the high-jacking of pure Christianity, which is saturated with the Love of God, not judgment, I may come off a little strong at times with some righteous indignation. Reason being, the so-called educated elites on both sides are trying to run everything by defining what they think civilized life is when they’re not too civilized themselves. Meanwhile, American Christianity has turned the church into a fast-food chain with a drive-thru for Jesus because it’s been created by corporations. My desire is that you will hear my heart. I really can’t express that enough. The words you’re about to read are not just ranting and raving from some angry individual, but heartfelt passion for humanity, those who are starving and have AIDS and have no other way to live but that which has been set before them; the ones we know or at least act like we know, but honestly, it seems we have forgotten and left behind; I’m speaking of the world, the one for which Jesus died. The main reason for the world’s situation is due in large part to the oppressive system that Jesus has set us free from. We must quit using certain misinterpreted Scriptures to justify why we don’t help and just begin to see whether it is their fault from some past generational curse (which is always the copout for not being involved) or if it’s really an oppressive system, the kingdom of this world that is causing hell on earth.
