The US Empire’s War ON Iraq has lasted for a decade now. I am sure, I don’t have to convince supporters and fans of Cindy Sheehan’s Soapbox that the US Empire’s Illegal and Immoral War on the people of Iraq was/is wrong.
The War Crime of Iraq was/is just one more notch in the bloody belt of Empire, and we must tell the stories and never give up the fight for peace: no retreat, no surrender.
On this week’s Soapbox, Cindy chats with the father of LaVena Johnson, Dr. John Johnson. LaVena was murdered in Iraq on July 19, 2005. The Johnsons were told that their daughter committed suicide and her character was assassinated, also. Through years of relentless quest for truth, the apparent story is that LaVena was (by fellow troops) brutally sexually assaulted, beaten, and her body was burned to hide the evidence–while key parts of her anatomy were excised and removed post-partum to hide the crime! Listen to this one tragic tale from millions that are the hallmark of the Bush legacy.
Then Cindy welcomes Bill Blum of the Anti-Empire Report who analyzes the failed state of the Empire today and it’s shameful handling of the death of Hugo Chavez.
